What is the importance of cultural differences when selecting partner organizations?

Getting to know other cultures and communing with them can be one of the most interesting experiences during the project.

Cultural differences, however, pose threats, which may be: misunderstanding of participants, different priorities, different expectations towards integration, free time, substantive work, different ways of understanding individual elements of everyday life.

Therefore, in order to avoid problematic situations, it is important to carefully select partner countries in the context of our expectations regarding the project and its topic, clear communication of the project’s priorities and its main principles when contacting national leaders, establishing intensive contact with participants even before the exchange has started, as well as clear and transparent, properly moderated setting of expectations, concerns and rules of an exchange during the first day of workshops (see: INTEGRATION).
